Suggestion on how to include in your dog's diet:
Simply mix the recommended amount in with your dog's food or wet food such as meat, sardines, yogurt, kefir, etc. either daily or every 2nd day.  Gut Dust can be double dosed in times of digestive stress.  If your dog is currently taking antibiotics, give Gut Dust no less than 2 hours after giving antibiotics.
 
Texture
The texture can change slightly from batch to batch from powder to granule-like.

Storage
Whilst this product is shelf-stable, we recommend that once open, that you store it in the fridge to maintain the high level of CFU's.  Do not freeze and mix in with hot food. 
 
Suggested use:
1 Teaspoon (approx. 3 grams) per 10 kilos of body weight
Based on 0.307g per kilo of body weight | example: for a 10-kilo dog: 0.307g x 10 kilos = 3.07g

Contraindications:
Gut Dust is for apparently healthy dogs where pet parents would like to support their dog's gut health. Gut Dust's resistant starch affects the gut microbes and exerts microbial effects. Studies have been conducted that show that resistant starch can change the function of gut bacteria and help with reducing chances of developing colon cancer and inflammatory bowel disease, however, if your dog is or has been affected by Candida yeast then resistant starch which feeds bacteria may not be appropriate for your dog if your dog has a higher level of harmful bacteria - resistant starch cannot pick and choose which bacteria it feeds - please discuss the use of this product with your Vet / Dermatologist.  If your dog has a medical condition such as IBS or similar, you should take the advice of your Vet in relation to which strains & gensus they feel are most suited to your dog's medical condition.  We cannot give you medical advice.
 
Tolerance: 
My Doggie Gut Dust is typically well tolerated by the majority of dogs.  There is a possibility that some dogs may display symptoms of digestive upset which may be an intolerance or allergy to green banana starch. At this time we have had 3 reports of intolerance.
